Given the close relationship Thrustmaster has with Flight Simulator developers, and this being the latest release, there will be considerable support for this stick in the game. There's also a small throttle slider to get you started, and if you want to upgrade to a full HOTAS (hands on throttle and stick) setup in the future, there's a separate throttle quadrant you can pick up for it. Then, around the base, there are 12 programmable buttons for all the ILS and flaps and other controls you'll need in regular flight. Modeled on the tiny sidesticks in Airbus's latest A320 cockpits, this single stick provides all-axis control (with a rudder twist-lock), two utility triggers, the POV look hatswitch and two more buttons on the top of the stick (which can be swapped around and customized with extra modules). I fought with this for 6 hours tonight before I stumbled across this fix.The best joysticks and flight sticks are ready for take-off when Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 lands this week, and if you're planning on boarding for its release on August 18 then you might also be considering an upgrade to your cabin instrumentation. Now when you press the button 10 on your controller it won't actuate the landing gear. Then select HOTAS, landing gear and set the joystick assignment back to the button you want to use. Delete the button 10 joystick assignment for both HOTAS and rudder pedals. It has done the same under rudder pedals. Now go back into the controller setup, select HOTAS and landing gear and you will see it has inserted button 10 for landing gear. Go into the controls setup select the HOTAS controller, select landing gear and delete the joystick assignment, then go into the rudder pedals, select landing gear and delete the joystick assignment. After a lot of trial by error I have found the following. When I first go in to set up the controller I see button 8 set for landing gear on both the HOTAS controller and the rudder pedals, yet when I press button 10 on my controller it activates the landing gear. I am using a Saitek X-52 controller and Saitek rudder pedals. I have been having this issue off and on for a while with FSX SE. So as a last result, i reinstalled FSX and i'm having the same issues and i'm not running any 3rd party add-ons at the moment including Ezdok.ĭoes anyone know why this might be happening and what I should do about it? I reinstalled Ezdok and reinstalled the drivers for my joystick. Checked here, no one with that particular issue. I've scoured the net looking for an answer for this problem. So, as weird as it was, hitting button 10 would not only look left but would also activate my landing gear even though it was set to button 8 only. I had button 10 on the joystick set to "view left" while inside the aircraft in virtual cockpit. I was running Ezdok when I noticed this problem. Nope, In my controls settings there is nothing listed for gear control for button 10. At first, I thought that I should go into settings as two buttons would be mapped for the same action. Now, I have button 8 mapped for landing gear. For whatever reason, when I hit the 10 button on the joystick, it activates my landing gear. I'm using a Thrustmaster T Flight Hotas X joystick.
